Ways to Show Some Love to Your Community

Valentine's Day is just around the corner! While it's normally thought of as the holiday for couples, and the chocolate, floral, and greeting card industries, it's also the perfect time to “show some love” to your community of customers and clients. But why stop at Valentine's Day when you can show your appreciation and support of your community year-round with the following simple strategies.

  1. Do business with them as their customer. One way I support my retail clients is by purchasing gifts for my other (non-competing) clients. If your client is a service provider, there may still be an opportunity to purchase a gift certificate or card from them to give to others. Be creative in thinking about how you can become a customer of theirs.
  2. Actively participate in their community. Subscribe to their newsletters or blog, follow them on social media channels, and actively participate in online conversations with them. Post comments to their blog,Like, Share, or Comment on their Facebook posts, re-Tweet on Twitter or re-Pin on Pinterest.
  3. Share them with your community. Feature a “customer of the week” or “client of the quarter” post or story in your own newsletter, blog, or on your Facebook business page. People LOVE photos, so put a face to the customer post or client story with a photo of them (with their permission, of course).
  4. Provide referrals. We all know the value of word-of-mouth so keep your customer/client radar tuned up for any opportunity to send business their way. PS – make sure you know what a good referral is for their business, too.
  5. Host a customer/client appreciation event. This will involve a little more cost and time, but it’s a great way to bring your customers or clients together for a social, luncheon or after hours with the only intention being to thank them for their support and business. Make the event extra special by mailing (yes, mailing) invitations to attendees. There’s a bonus to this, too, in that you can be a “connector,” introducing folks who might not otherwise meet to expand their social or business circle.

And remember that you don't have to wait for Valentine's Day or any other holiday to "show some love" to your community. It's easy to do each and every day with a sincere smile and 'thank you.'

6 king's execution drug

Indonesia executing six drug kingpin on Sunday ( 18/1 ) and will continue to execute the drug kingpin sharing. The death penalty as a form of punishment has an important message to be conveyed to the public . What is that?

" In the criminal theory , punishment was justified along the base of the 4 steppingstone , " said criminal law expert Dr. Strong Praise Prayitno when talking with my.princes.in , Wednesday ( 21/01/ ) .

Four steppingstone it is :

1. Criminal aims to protect people from all forms of evil that threaten society
2. Criminal aims to provide protection of the public against the perpetrator / convict
3. Punishment justified in aspect to the control apparatus
4. Punishment justified along for the control system community values .

" In the case of this drug , the death penalty was justified because to protect the public from the dangers of drugs , protection and restore the balance of values that exist in the community , " said General Sudirman University lecturer ( PKA ) , Purwokerto , Central Java .

Guarded community values is that the behavior of the drug as something reprehensible . For Indonesian society since time immemorial considers culture Madon , thieves , play , opium is something contemptible . Moral values derived from the ethical , religious and social morals was then crystallized into a pinnacle of civilization of the Indonesian nation in the form of punishment .

"If seriousness in upholding the values that are not good , it will be lost civilization , " Strong said seriously .

In the conditions of modern Indonesia , the values contained in the Narcotics Act made by the legislature threatening the death penalty for drug kingpins . It is then carried out by the judiciary with the formulation of the decision imposing the death penalty on offenders . Finally , the executive is President Joko Widodo take a firm stance that there is no excuse for first-class drug offenders .

" At least the legislative , judicial and executive linear , everything bersepaham . So there is nothing unusual about the death penalty . It would be a problem if one of the three that is not linear , " said Strong .

Condemnation of this process , the state gives a clear message to the community that do not get involved with drugs .

" There is a message to the community , the state called ' Hi community , let alone make a drug that circulate misconduct know , do you do because it is considered a very despicable act and a great crime and is punishable by death ' . The death penalty is also to educate people take drug trafficking civilization was reprehensible in Indonesia , "said Strong .

If anyone says the death penalty form of revenge ?

" It was the lingua franca alone . If the language of the law is what the justification is no legal basis to die ? That is to protect the community from destruction and restore the values of existing society , " said Strong .

Film American Sniper’ is the year’s 2015

american sniper
There is a class of men in whom is contained a distilled essence of the American spirit. Sturdy, taciturn and mysterious, these men tend to come from places like Virginia, Georgia, Texas. They have a devout attachment to guns, which are, to them, Old Testament swords of righteousness. Their seriousness of purpose seems archaic. They are our warrior class. Women find them irresistible; lesser men salute, if they are wise, or scoff, if they are not.

Chris Kyle was one such warrior. As embodied by Bradley Cooper in “American Sniper,” he is imposing, determined and lethal, a Navy SEAL who did four tours of duty in Iraq, killing by the score men who needed to be killed. In the film, Kyle calls the Islamist fanatics what they are: “savages,” and in such moments, director Clint Eastwood’s overpowering war film scintillates with clarity.

The film runs on three tracks: Kyle’s childhood, in which he absorbed his values; his Iraq tours, in which he shot and killed some 160 enemies and witnessed the agony of many comrades; and his off-duty life in Texas, where, in the company of his children and wife (a composed Sienna Miller), he continued to hear war’s echoes, sometimes so loud that they submerged his personality.

American Sniper” portrays Kyle as something of an armed saint, if a troubled one, but though I ordinarily resist one-sided portrayals, I think that Cooper and Eastwood find in the man a template. After 40 years of Hollywood counterpropaganda telling us war is necessarily corrupting and malign, its ablest practitioners thugs, loons or victims, “American Sniper” nobly presents the case for the other side. It doesn’t say violence is beautiful, but that it is necessary, placing it closer to “Unforgiven” than to Eastwood’s dreadfully reductionist war pictures “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Letters from Iwo Jima.”

Cooper is devastating, not straining to be fierce but letting his newly beefy presence and his attention to the details of long-range marksmanship convey the robust professionalism of the SEALs. Eastwood alternates between harrowing war imagery — a mesmerizing battle in a sandstorm recalls the vertiginous chaos of “Black Hawk Down” — and quieter moments of equal power. When young Chris learns that the world is divided among sheep, wolves and sheepdogs, and that his calling is to be one of the latter, it’s a parable with biblical weight.
Sniper

The moral alertness of the film is of the level normally confined, in military pictures, to talky courtroom scenes, yet Eastwood skillfully works dilemmas into propulsive and suspenseful action. The depth is present from the beginning, when Kyle must decide whether to shoot an Iraqi woman who might be concealing an explosive. He processes the staggering consequences of making the wrong decision — even as he knows that should his suspicions prove correct, to take a life is an immense thing.

Mapping the interior landscape of a damaged soul is something books do better than movies, but in Cooper’s recoils from sudden noises, in his slumping at a hometown bar when his wife doesn’t even know he’s back in the country and in his staring at the floor when thanked for his prowess, we learn much about the price warriors pay. Cowboys, adventurers, joyriders — these are exactly what our best fighting men are not. They suffer merely to be alive, when so many brothers lie in boxes draped with flags. “American Sniper” does honor to them.

Lebanese Porn Star Stirs Debate Back Home

A Lebanese-born porn star living in the US has stirred fierce debate back home after her rise to fame split social media users in liberal-yet-conservative Lebanon.

Mia Khalifa, 21, who was born in Lebanon but lives in Miami, last week became the most searched star on adult video site Porn Hub, with more than 1.5 million views, prompting a mix of scorn and praise from Lebanese commenters.
“You are unworthy. You are only a sex object,” posted one Facebook user, alongside an image of the half-naked Khalifa.
“You don’t represent Lebanon!” another commenter said on Twitter, where the buxom brunette actress has attracted more than 78,000 followers.

Others lept to Khalifa’s defense, albeit with reservations.
“Mia Khalifa hasn’t harmed anyone. It’s her body,” said a post on the Lebanese blog Philaz. But “we are also free to say that what she is doing isn’t ‘liberalism’ but an attack on freedom.”

“You have to admire Mia Khalifa for her audacity,” wrote a Twitter user.
And stand up comedian Nemer Abou Nassar tweeted: “Mia we love you! i hope to high five you soon one day.”
Although renowned for its nightlife, smouldering female pop stars and legal alcohol consumption unlike most other Arab states, parts of Lebanese society remain deeply conservative.
Last year, Lebanese Olympic skier Jackie Chamoun found herself at the center of a scandal after a video emerged of her taking part in a topless photo shoot, shocking many but also sparking online expressions of support.

Several photos posted online of Khalifa appear to show the actress sporting a tattoo on her left arm of a verse from the Lebanese national anthem.
“Lebanon has always been a pioneer among Arab countries,” a commentator said.
In a country more used to bad news, including a deteriorating security situation due to the conflict in neighboring Syria, viewers were greeted with images of Khalifa on national television bulletins.
“Mia Khalifa is the first Lebanese who publicly boasts of practicing such a profession,” said local news station Al Jadeed.
Lebanon has struggled to deal with a mass influx of refugees from the war in Syria and 25 of its soldiers and police are being held captive by jihadists.
Several commentators even chose to play on the names of Khalifa (caliph in Arabic) and self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State jihadist group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
“Who do you prefer as caliph? Mia or Al-Baghdadi? I prefer Mia Khalifa!” said one Lebanese Twitter user.

Todays Prince William shows his protective instincts with wife

william

London - Britain's Prince William has warned two photographers against trailing his baby son George during walks in London parks with his nanny, saying their behaviour amounted to "harassment".

Lawyers acting for William and his pregnant wife Kate, have written to the freelance photographers asking them to stop following George, William's office said.

It came after an incident in a central London park last week when one individual was spotted near George and his nanny.

"They are obviously concerned," a spokesperson for the royal couple said. He added the men had "over a period of time established a pattern of behaviour that we think amounts to harassment of Prince George and of his nanny".
"It's more the fundamental weirdness of two grown men following a 14-month-old baby around London that we're concerned about," the spokesperson added.
The issue of harassment by the paparazzi is particularly sensitive for William whose mother Princess Diana was killed with her lover Dodi al-Fayed in Paris in 1997 when her limousine crashed into the wall of a tunnel as they tried to flee a posse of chasing photographers.

He has been determined to protect his family from the press.
George was born to a global media frenzy in July last year but has spent most of his life since then out of the spotlight, with only a handful of public appearances.

"They want Prince George to lead as ordinary a life as possible as a child and he obviously can't do that if people are going to parks where children play and taking pictures of him," the spokesperson said.
He said they believed some pictures of George had appeared in European publications but not in Britain, where the press has exercised greater restraint since Diana's death.

Jackie Chan’s son could do jail time for drug charge

Jackie Chan's

Chinese prosecutors on Monday indicted the son of Hong Kong action film star Jackie Chan on the charge of sheltering others to use drugs, more than four months after he was detained.

If convicted, singer-actor Jaycee Chan could be jailed for up to three years.
Chan, 32, was among a string of celebrities detained over the summer for vices such as drug use and hiring prostitutes, as Beijing vowed to clean up social morals.

The detention of Jaycee Chan has been particularly embarrassing for his father, who was named by Beijing as an anti-drug ambassador in 2009.
Beijing police detained the younger Chan at his Beijing apartment in August along with Taiwanese movie star Ko Kai. Police said Chan and Ko both tested positive for marijuana and admitted using the drug, and that 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of it were taken from Chan's home.

Ko, whose real name is Ko Chen-tung, was released after a 14-day administrative detention for the drug use, but Chan who has remained in detention since August  is faced with the more serious criminal charge.
State broadcaster CCTV in August aired video of the police raid on Chan's apartment, in which Chan was shown identifying marijuana. Ko testified on camera that he had used drugs at Chan's home.
Chan has never publicly contested the charge, and his father has openly apologised over his detention.
"Regarding this issue with my son Jaycee, I feel very angry and very shocked," Jackie Chan wrote on his microblog in August. "As a public figure, I'm very ashamed. As a father, I'm heartbroken."

Prosecutors from Beijing's Dongcheng District announced the indictment in a one-line statement that did not mention when a trial would be held.
In June, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that illegal drugs should be wiped out and that offenders should be severely punished. The crackdown snared more than 7,800 people in Beijing alone, according to police, and celebrities were targeted because of their influence over the public.

Jaycee Chan has appeared in several films and has released three albums.

“Jackie Chan dead 2015”

The Jackie Chan's

News of actor Jackie Chan’s death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However the January 2015 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, the actor best known for his roles in Shanghai Noon, Rush Hour or Police Story is alive and well.

Jackie Chan death hoax spreads on Facebook
Rumors of the actor’s alleged demise gained traction on Thursday after a R.I.P. Jackie Chan Facebook page attracted nearly one million of ‘likes’. Those who read the ‘About’ page were given a believable account of the actor’s passing:
At about 11 a.m. ET on Thursday (January 01, 2015), our beloved actor Jackie Chan passed away. Jackie Chan was born on April 7, 1954 in Hong Kong. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.
Hundreds of fans immediately started writing their messages of condolence on the Facebook page, expressing their sadness that the talented 60-year-old actor was dead. And as usual, Twittersphere was frenzied over the death hoax.

Where as some trusting fans believed the post, others were immediately skeptical of the report, perhaps learning their lesson from the huge amount of fake death reports emerging about celebrities over recent months. Some pointed out that the news had not been carried on any major network, indicating that it was a fake report, as the death of an actor of Jackie Chan's stature would be major news across networks.
A recent poll conducted for the Celebrity Post shows that a large majority (74%) of respondents think those Jackie Chan death rumors are not funny anymore.

Jackie Chan Death Hoax Dismissed Since Actor Is ‘Alive And Well’
On Friday (January 02) the actor's reps officially confirmed that Jackie Chan is not dead. “He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet,” they said.
Some fans have expressed anger at the fake report saying it was reckless, distressing and hurtful to fans of the much loved actor. Others say this shows his extreme popularity across the globe.Jackie Chan Sexiest Actor Alive

For the second year in a row, our gorgeous hottie beat out some other equally hot men for the number one spot! And we can't say we disagree!
Twitter Frenzy

Jackie Chan being named THE Sexiest Man Alive makes his girlfriend the luckiest Woman Alive?” joked another one.
The major upside of the award is that the actor will be getting plenty of press for the next few weeks. So what do you say? Do you think Jackie Chan is the Sexiest Actor Alive? And if not, who gets your vote?

Six essentials for creating a lasting love... all by yourself

life style
The power is yours. Whether your relationship simply needs some fine-tuning or whether it is in serious trouble, you will be amazed at how much relationship-healing you can do all by yourself.
And if you are not in a relationship, there are many ways of approaching potential mates in a new and welcoming manner. Here are just six of the many suggestions from The Feel the Fear Guide to Lasting Love to get you started:

1) Expand the purpose of your relationship

As I see it, a relationship has two important purposes - a Practical Purpose and a Higher Purpose. The Practical Purpose of a relationship is simply to have someone with whom to share our lives. Traveling the road together can be a joyous experience. But sometimes problems with money, sex, children, work and the like can make the journey together very difficult. It is for this reason that we need to have a Higher Purpose.
The Higher Purpose of a relationship is learning how to become a more loving person - despite what problems come up. It is our using all the problems as a vehicle for seeing what we need to work on within ourselves to keep love in our heart.

Too often, we blame our mate instead of realizing that this is a great time for learning and growing. As we blame our mate, anger and resentment build. If, however, we focus on the Higher Purpose, that of becoming a more loving person, the outcome can be very different.
Problems can become a plus instead of a minus. We learn, we grow, we are filled with creativity, we take responsibility, we feel strong and our love for our mate grows. There is no question that it is through our Higher Purpose that we ultimately experience the exquisite beauty of real love.

2) Pick up the mirror instead of the magnifying glass

What does that mean? The magnifying glass represents our symbolically pointing a finger and blaming our mates for our unhappiness. Not good! The mirror represents our looking inward and taking responsibility not only for our actions but also for our REACTIONS to what is going on in the relationship.
The mirror is self-awareness, and self-awareness is the first step toward positive change.
An example:

***The magnifying glass: I am angry because he/she is taking time away from me to spend time with his/her friends.

***The mirror: Is my life so limited that I can't function without him/her for a few hours? It's time for me to take responsibility to create more balance In my life so that I don't feel empty and needy when he/she is not around.

3) Handle the neediness

Neediness is an emotion created by fear and is therefore one of the prime destroyers of love. It stands to reason that if we are feeling needy, consciously or unconsciously, we are always trying to manipulate our mate with the desperate hope that they will make us feel whole.
Neediness causes us to protect ourselves at the expense of our mate, to close our hearts, to judge our mates and blame them for our unhappiness, to become angry, resentful and defensive. Not a pretty picture!
We can handle the neediness by building a rich life for ourselves that involves our commitment to family, friends, career, volunteering, and so on. This allows us to be "safely vulnerable" always knowing, that no matter what happens in our relationship, our life is full and we have much to contribute to this world.
In this way, our neediness disappears. And our ability to open our heart to love without fear increases dramatically. We become a magnet to all that is good in this world...and that includes a truly wonderful relationship.

4) Radiate a positive and loving energy

Science is proving that feelings are contagious. This means that if you think and act lovingly, your partner will actually "catch" that loving energy. You become a model that evokes love in your mate. And the whole nature of the relationship begins to move in the direction of love.
Of course, the opposite is true as well. If you think and act un-lovingly, your partner will "catch" that un-loving energy. You become a model that evokes conflict in your mate. And you know where conflict leads...often to the end of the relationship.
Bottom line: If you are feeling resentful, negative, disdainful and the like with your mate, work on changing your energy to one of love, appreciation, and caring. It can make all the difference in the world.

5) Become the mate you want your mate to be

First make a list of all the characteristics you want your mate to have. It could look like this: loving, thoughtful, warm, considerate, caring, appreciative, romantic, generous. Now for the big challenge...pick up the mirror and begin developing these qualities in yourself.
You may be someone who resists this challenge. But how can we ask our mates to be something we have been unwilling to be ourselves? Also, as you just learned, loving behavior is contagious.
Just incorporating all these loving qualities within our own being can dramatically alter the thoughts and actions of our mate. Also, remember the Higher Purpose of your relationship...and that is to become a more loving person. This is a perfect opportunity to do so.

6) Validate your mate

We have to learn to notice and openly express thanks for the beautiful things our mate does for us. (And if you can't find anything to thank him/her for, then why are you there?) It makes our mate feel so good when we let him/her know the things we appreciate about him/her. And it encourages him/her to continue doing beautiful things.

Remember that every relationship has its good and every relationship has its bad. By focusing on the bad, we starve. By focusing on the good, we thrive...allowing us to creatively and lovingly deal with the bad.
So begin right now by appreciating all that your mate does in your life. Don't let another day pass before you say "Thank you for being in my life. I love you." Say it today...and say it often. It may take time to push through any resistance you may be feeling, but keep pushing. Eventually you will get yourself on the side of love.

Yes, the power is yours. No matter what the state of your relationship, it offers you an incredible opportunity for learning and growing. It is definitely worth all the effort you put into it.
Why? A loving relationship feels sublime and brings you great joy; it makes life sweeter and easier. You delight in your ability to give to your mate; you feel abundant as you take in the love that he/she gives to you. Just sharing the journey with someone you love...it doesn't get any better than that.
Now remember your challenge: See if you can apply the essence of these tools to everyone in your life. Practice, practice, practice...and watch how slowly, but surely, they help you lovingly connect with the entire world around you. Magic!

Note: While this article deals with finding and maintaining a beautiful relationship with your mate, it also contains the essence of creating beautiful connections in all areas of your life...your work, your friends, your family...and so on. Here's your challenge: Pull out the essence of the following six essentials and apply them to everyone in your life. As you do this, watch how they help you touch with love the entire world around you.

The possession of child pornography illegal.

Japan has finally fallen into line with other developed countries and has made the possession of child pornography illegal.

The upper house of parliament
overwhelmingly voted in favour of a bill revising the laws under which only the production and distribution of child pornography were banned.

The legislation cleared the lower house earlier this month, after campaigners had long urged Japan to toughen its stance on child pornography.

The new legislation bans possession of photographs and videos depicting real children aged below 18 it does not include drawings

The law says anyone who "possesses child pornography for the purpose of satisfying his/her sexual interest" faces being punished with imprisonment of up to one year, or a fine of up to one million yen (about R105 600).

In order to encourage the disposal of material, the penalties will be delayed for one year after the revised law comes into action, which is expected possibly in July.
The law excludes "manga" comics, "anime" video and computer-generated graphics, following calls to protect freedom of expression.
Japan was the only member of the G7 group of industrialised nations in which the possession of child porn remained legal. It is banned and subject to penalties in more than 70 countries.

Japan has a large pornography industry

Japan has a large pornography industry, and visitors to the country note the ubiquity of sexual imagery and the huge volume of material available.
While it is unusual to see people openly reading paedophilic manga in public, mainstream comics read by commuters sometimes contain sexualised images that many Westerners find unpalatable.
Despite calls for manga imagery to be included in the new rules, there was strong resistance from manga artists, free-speech advocates and publishers, who said it would impinge on freedom of expression and allow authorities to make arbitrary decisions about art.

Strong societal memories of the strict state censorship in the run-up to Japan's disastrous entry into World War II, play into such debates, with dissenters warning of the danger of allowing the government to control the press.

Bilingirl has plenty to teach you

Switching hats: Chika Yoshida teaches English, sings, dances and edits videos for her Bilingirl YouTube channel. | YOSHIAKI MIURA

Chika Yoshida, aka Bilingirl, wears many hats. She teaches English, sings, dances and makes costumes. She could be dressed up as Malificent with horns sticking out of her head, have her face painted white and talk in a squeaky voice like comedian duo Nippon Elekitel Rengo or be singing songs from the animation “Frozen” all the while teaching English phrases and conversation on YouTube.

Yoshida is a Japanese-English bilingual YouTube celebrity whose videos have been constructed entirely by herself  everything from coming up with content ideas to choosing, sometimes even making, costumes, to editing the videos.

“People think that YouTube is easy money and some may be considering it as a simple side-job. But it isn’t that easy,” Yoshida tells The Japan Times. “The YouTubers you see today have been doing it almost every day for years you have to be that dedicated. For many of us, it started out as a hobby, something that was for fun, which then eventually took shape.”
For Yoshida, Bilingirl started in 2011 when her friend asked her to look over her English resume. Yoshida, who lived in the U.S. for 16 years, noticed that her friend had trouble distinguishing between the use of “a” and “the” so she thought it might be interesting to create a video to teach the difference.
What started out as a sort of video version of a selfie, with Yoshida filming herself speaking into the camera, turned into a major creative project for the 29-year-old.

Her YouTube channel began with zero views, she recalls with a laugh. But after about six months, she realized that there was clearly demand for the videos she was creating, since she had attracted a large number of followers who were not members of her family or her friends.

At that time, Yoshida was a company employee for an American firm in Japan, working as a business consultant on system-related projects for financial institutions. She worked on the videos before or after work, and on weekends.

But a year ago, she decided that the creativity behind making videos was far more appealing than her company job.
“I decided to quit when I realized that I felt I was wasting time at work. I wanted to do something creative and I had found a job that suited me better,” Yoshida says. “I wanted to devote myself 100 percent to Bilingirl.”

Her dedication has paid off  various companies noticed the potential of her videos to reach a wide audience and she has since taken part in collaborations with Turkish Airlines and Kao Corp., Japan’s largest bath- and shower-products manufacturer.

Yoshida’s videos take viewers on journeys, be it to her apartment, the local MacDonald’s or literally across the world to Seattle, Australia or Turkey.

One of her most recent videos documents a trip to Shimoda Aquarium in Shizuoka, where she shares her childhood dream by teaching viewers the phrase, “Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to swim with dolphins.”

Yoshida says she gets her ideas from daily life through conversations with her friends, her followers on twitter or just seasonal topics that she happens across.
“I’ve never had any trouble coming up with ideas  they just come to me naturally,” she explains.
Although born in Japan, Yoshida moved to the U.S. with her family when she was in the first year of elementary school. She lived there for 16 years and attended a U.S. college. Like many so-called returnees, she says she was told that she was “Japanese-like” while living in the states, and “American-like” when she moved back to Japan.

“I ended up thinking it didn’t matter (whether people thought I was more Japanese or American),” she says. “I am who I am.”
In January, she launched a new YouTube channel called Japanagos, where she introduces Japanese language and culture to foreigners. Short clips include those on how to make New Year’s ozoni (soup with mochi rice cakes and vegetables), how to pray at a Shinto shrine and a visit to the Yokohama fireworks while wearing yukata (summer kimono).

“There is so much that I still don’t know about Japan and I want to share what I learn  its culture and history,” Yoshida says. “I hope that eventually, people outside of Japan will see my channel as an ‘entrance’ to Japan.”
As Bilingirl, Yoshida has posted 240 lessons and her channel has well over 320,000 subscribers. She says she has no concrete plans for the future except that she wants to keep on doing what she has been doing, focusing in particular on Japanagos next year.

Meet and greet: On Nov. 9, Chika Yoshida took part in an event, organized in collaboration with The Japan Times ST, where she met about 100 fans at Nifco Hall. She does also say, however, that she is interested in trying other media. Already familiar with this newspaper as a columnist in the weekly The Japan Times ST, Yoshida is open to the idea of writing a book. But, despite her YouTube status, she has no intention of becoming a TV personality.

“I actually don’t like the filming part that much. What I love to do is to create things from scratch, and I really enjoy the editing process  watching it take shape,” she says. “Deep down, the message that I want to get out there goes beyond teaching English. It is about having the motivation to do what you want to do.”
