Gibran Rakabuming... Raka (born October 1, 1987) is an Indonesian businessman and politician who served as Mayor of Surakarta City who was inaugurated on February 26, 2021.
Born as the eldest son of a furniture entrepreneur, Joko Widodo who later served as Mayor of Surakarta, Governor of DKI Jakarta, until eventually held the post of President of Indonesia. Gibran started his business by opening a catering business called Chilli Pari.
He is also the founder of a martabak culinary company called Markobar.

Since childhood, Gibran has lived in Surakarta, but when he was in junior high school (SMP) he moved to Singapore to continue his education at the high school level (SMA) in 2002 at Orchid Park Secondary School, Singapore.
Furthermore, in 2007 Gibran graduated from the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) and continued his studies to the Insearch program at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS Insearch), Sydney, Australia until graduating in 2010.
He served as chairman of the Association of Indonesian Catering Companies ( APJBI) Solo City.[5]
On June 11, 2015, Gibran married the former daughter of Solo named Selvi Ananda.
On 10 March 2016, Selvi gave birth to a son named Jan Ethes Srinarendra.
On November 15, 2019, Gibran and Selvi had a daughter named La Lembah Manah.
On June 9 2018, Gibran founded a freelance and part-time job seeker application called Kerjaholic
with Leonard Hidayat, Josh Ching, Michael, Daniel Hidayat. Kerjaholic is an application that can connect job seekers with parties who are looking for freelance and part-time workers.
On July 20, 2019, Gibran and his younger brother Kaesang Pangarep, Chef Arnold Poernomo and Randy Julius founded a restaurant called Mangkokku.
Previously, on August 17, 2018, we built Goola with Kevin Susanto and obtained funding from Alpha JWC Ventures worth IDR 71 billion.
In the 2020 Pilkada, Gibran registered himself as a candidate for mayor of Solo from the PDI-P for the Solo Mayoral Election for the 2020-2025 period, which later received criticism from observers about allegations of political dynasties in the Joko Widodo family, who is still President.
Gibran himself once rejected the existence of a political dynasty in Indonesia.
